Better All-Around
Clayton Douglas Design built a new website for Indiana Academy which was in need of a something that was easy to update and manage, easy for visitors to navigate, and better reflected the school’s branding.
The old website was built in WordPress which was hard for the staff there to update. On top of that, there were bugs that had come up due to a lack of proper maintenance.
Process
WordPress was not meeting the school’s needs, so the first step was to create the new website in Squarespace which is much easier to manage and has a much smaller learning curve.
The next step was taking a long hard look at the pages on the existing website and simplifying, combining, and reducing the number of pages. We reconsidered the navigation and reduced the number of drop-downs to one per link.
Clayton designed a new aesthetic for the website that felt both familiar, but also more modern. A hero video plays in the background of the home page highlighting the campus and setting the tone.

Each page got its own unique design custom tailored to the content provided by Indiana Academy. The same design elements are applied throughout in order to provide a cohesive feel across the website while dividing and highlighting certain information.
Client Feedback
Clayton did a great job redesigning the Indiana Academy Website. He asked questions, listened to our needs and made the new site more user friendly and up to date. He also kept us on track with our deadlines and made sure we had ample opportunity to review the changes and offer him feedback. Once it was ready to publish, he made sure to provide training to us so that we would be able to easily maintain it as we move forward.
